About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Governance in Doraville, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify access credentials, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. You will maintain a visible presence, help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Verify identification, credentials, delivery appointments, and authorized access for vehicles and individuals entering or leaving the facility; document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points, gates, and access-control systems; report unauthorized access attempts, irregularities, and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and notifying site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
