Security Officer Full Time Access Control

About the role

As a Full Time Access Control Security Officer in Plant City, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients across various industries. Your role will involve managing entry points, verifying authorized access, monitoring activity, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor records, and directing authorized personnel, contractors, and delivery drivers according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and effectively, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including access points and parking areas, to identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Document access-control activities, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
