About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location in Raleigh, NC, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment through exceptional customer service and communication. You will document observations using computer or tablet tools while responding to security-related concerns.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site requirements, helping to maintain orderly operations at the location.
- Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
