About the role

As a Flex Access Control and Patrol Security Officer in Elizabethtown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients across various industries. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys engaging with the public and using technology to support daily tasks. You’ll monitor entrances, check badges, conduct patrols, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for employees and visitors through top-notch customer service and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Monitor access points to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and effectively, following Allied Universal guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the site and its perimeter to deter suspicious activity and identify potential issues.
• Assist with emergency response activities as needed, in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal protocols.
• Observe and report security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to deter theft, vandalism, or other unwanted behavior.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license (required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy).
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience.
• Must pass a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements vary by state and locality and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$17.84 per hour.

Schedule

Flexible part-time position. Must be available to work all shifts and all days of the week, including coverage for special projects, call-offs, vacations, and open shifts.
