Security Officer Experienced Part Time Patrol

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location in Durham, NC. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, observe and report security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This is a part-time position with a set daytime schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, support badge and credential procedures, and document security-related observations in accordance with site requirements.
• Communicate clearly with site personnel, visitors, and emergency responders while maintaining accurate incident reports and daily activity logs.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
