Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting relevant details to site leadership and/or public emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the sales floor, exterior areas, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas for suspicious behavior, access concerns, and/or potential loss prevention issues, and communicate with management regarding security-related matters.
• Support de-escalation efforts and assist with handling customer and/or employee concerns, following post orders and Allied Universal protocols during routine operations and unusual events.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification for Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
