About the role

This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position is a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career. As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Response in Atlanta, GA, you’ll have a fixed base schedule with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift, requiring a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: Pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Scale your hours up to 40 per week or down as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and other stakeholders at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and security-related systems; verify credentials and direct individuals according to site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and effectively; notify appropriate personnel and complete required documentation.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs, and communicate relevant security-related information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license (required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy).
• Customer service experience (preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
