Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, policy concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, classrooms, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious conditions, hazards, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
