About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location in Bronx, NY, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support residents, visitors, and staff through exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to security-related concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the shelter location, including common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report unusual activity, policy violations, maintenance concerns, and incidents according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.

Alarm panel experience and CPR certification are preferred.

Pay

$19.72 / hour

Schedule

• Day shift: 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM
• Monday through Friday
