About the role

As a Security Officer Driver Site Patrol in Lakeland, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a dynamic tech and communications location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a large technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Maintain access points and visitor activity in accordance with site protocols, helping to support authorized entry, badge verification, and orderly movement throughout the location.
  • Observe and report maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations, and provide clear written and verbal updates to supervisors and site representatives.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
