Security Officer Driver Patrol

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors through strong customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout academic buildings, common areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry for buildings, events, and restricted areas while following location procedures.
• Support a professional campus environment by providing directions, assisting with routine inquiries, and communicating with Allied Universal leadership and/or local contacts regarding security-related issues.

Requirements

• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Skills

• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to respond calmly to emergencies.
• Knowledge of security procedures and location-specific policies.
• Ability to conduct regular patrols and monitor access points.
