About the role

Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a leading healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional service and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, hallways, and other assigned areas to help to control access, observe activity, and report security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
  • Support a professional environment by assisting with directions, de-escalating tense situations when appropriate, and reporting hazards, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations to the proper personnel.

Requirements

  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of healthcare facilities and security protocols.
