About the role

As a Security Officer Driver Field Patrol in Provo, UT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, monitoring activity, and supporting security-related needs throughout the retail location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or emergency situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or local responders when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout storefront areas, common spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, assist with access-related concerns, and document incidents, observations, and/or policy violations according to post instructions.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
