About the role
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer supporting a dynamic aerospace and defense location in Huntsville, AL, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and report security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with teamwork and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and support site protocols.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and complete required incident reports.
- Maintain awareness of site-specific requirements involving controlled areas, visitor activity, and property protection while communicating professionally with Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.
Requirements
- Possess an active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
