Security Officer Dispatch Communications Specialist

About the role

As a Dispatch Communications Specialist in Newark, DE, you will coordinate security-related communications, monitor activity, manage access control support, and dispatch personnel at a financial institution location. You will help maintain an organized, welcoming environment through professional customer service, clear communication, and timely response to incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures and policies at a financial institution location.
• Monitor communications systems, receive incoming calls and requests for assistance, and dispatch appropriate personnel in accordance with established procedures.
• Document incidents, alarms, service requests, and other security-related activities accurately and promptly in required logs and reports.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating communications with onsite personnel and emergency responders when appropriate.
• Monitor access-control, alarm, and/or video systems, report unusual activity, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Preferred Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience.
• CPR certification.

$20.00 / Hour

• Tuesday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wednesday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Saturday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sunday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
