Job Description
As a Security Officer Credential Screening Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location as an Access Control professional. In this driving post, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage badge access, and help support a secure environment through visible presence, strong communication, and customer service. Pre-Employment Requirements (Contractual)
- 1+ Years' Law Enforcement Experience OR
- 2+ Years' Security Supervisor/Manager Experience OR
- 3+ Years' Security Experience (C108)
- Valid Driver's License
What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor entry and exit points at a chemical and petrochemical location, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
- Document arrivals, departures, deliveries, and/or unusual activity in facility logs and electronic systems while following post orders and reporting procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, operational areas, and the perimeter to identify conditions that may require a security-related response or further review.
Minimum Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Candidates must have 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security-related supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years of security-related experience.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
