As a Screener at a retail location, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, supporting access control processes, and providing exceptional customer service. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, communicate professionally with customers and staff, and support a positive experience. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a retail pharmacy location.
- Screen individuals entering designated areas in accordance with site procedures, verify authorized access when applicable, and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Monitor entry points and surrounding areas for unusual activity, helping to deter unauthorized access, theft, and disruptive behavior.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and emergency situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the store, business areas, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Qualifications
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
