About the role

As a Security Officer Credential Screening in Cleveland, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a retail location, you will help maintain a secure, welcoming environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, and assisting customers, employees, and visitors. You will remain visible, respond to security-related concerns, and communicate clearly while supporting loss-prevention efforts.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas of the retail location.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, receiving areas, employee access points, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Document observations, incidents, and access-related activity accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
