About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a professional, welcoming atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by following site-specific procedures and supporting access control activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate with site contacts and/or public emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, document security-related concerns, and report observations, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations according to post procedures.
• Assist with emergency response activities, provide directions and information, and support order at the location while maintaining a professional presence.

Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
