About the role

Apart from serving and safeguarding clients in various industries like Government, you will conduct routine patrols and support a welcoming environment. This is a driving position offering the chance to stay active and assist visitors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, emergency services, and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas, verify authorized access when required, and document daily activities, incidents, and/or policy concerns in accordance with site expectations.
• Assist with emergency response activities, directional support, and/or crowd management during high-traffic periods, public interactions, and other situations that call for a visible security-related presence.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
