Security Officer - County Hospital

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a government healthcare location. This is a driving post where you will support people first through teamwork and integrity while making a meaningful impact each day.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or public emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, common areas, and restricted spaces, verify access as directed by site policies, and document security-related observations and/or incidents.
• Support day-to-day operations by following post orders, maintaining a visible presence, and assisting with visitor guidance and other security-related customer service needs.

Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
