About the role
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, families, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. This location follows military grooming standards: no visible face, hand, neck tattoos, or piercings.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report security-related concerns.
- Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, helping to maintain orderly movement throughout the facility and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
- Document patrols, incidents, and unusual activity accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders as needed.
Requirements
- Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- A Guard Card or license is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
