As a Security Officer Campus Part Time Visitor Management in Grand Island, NE, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.
• This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Staff the front desk and greet visitors professionally, verify credentials as directed, manage visitor check-in processes, and provide general directions and information.
• Monitor entry activity, respond to alarms, calls, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify appropriate personnel as directed.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Help to deter unauthorized access by observing front-desk activity, reporting unusual conditions, and following established escalation protocols.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour
