Security Officer Part Time Visitor Management

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor visitor activity, and help deter security-related incidents through a visible, professional presence. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with personnel and visitors, and support site operations with integrity. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing authorized personnel in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established notification and emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, perimeter locations, and restricted areas; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Maintain accurate logs and reports for visitor activity, access-control events, incidents, and unusual conditions, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$14.15 / Hour

Schedule

• Monday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tuesday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wednesday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
