Job Description
As a Security Officer Building Access Control in Santa Ana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help deter security-related incidents, and support access control. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication to visitors, staff, and guests while contributing to a welcoming environment. What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, vendors, and/or guests at a cultural institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of galleries, exhibit areas, public spaces, offices, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and potential security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to maintain an orderly environment and support the protection of collections, displays, and property.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
- Document observations, incidents, patrol activities, and security-related concerns accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site reporting procedures.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
