About the role
As a Security Officer Building Access Control in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate. You will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and communicate professionally with tenants, visitors, and team members. You will contribute to a welcoming environment while delivering reliable service with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or vendors at a commercial office property by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office buildings, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
- Monitor access points and observe visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with property policies; report unauthorized access concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and property representatives.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city-issued license for security-related work is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$22.50 / hour

- Monday: 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM
- Tuesday: 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM
- Wednesday: 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM
- Thursday: 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM
- Friday: 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM
