About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location in San Juan Capistrano, CA, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare laboratory location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and escalation protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of laboratory areas, offices, parking areas, exterior grounds, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and assist with directing authorized individuals to appropriate locations.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately; communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Experience using alarm panels is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
