Security Officer Armed Visitor Checkpoint
About the role
Join Allied Universal at a government location as an armed Access Control Officer, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and provide professional customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Monitor entrances and restricted areas, verify identification and/or credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access in accordance with post instructions and facility protocols.
- Document visitor activity, maintain accurate access records, and communicate clearly with site contacts regarding deliveries, guest entry, and/or unusual activity.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with alarms, access issues, and other security-related concerns.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to identify access control concerns, report hazards, and support security-related procedures.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or at least 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience or at least 3 years of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Possess a college degree.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications include a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
