Security Officer Armed Checkpoint Driver

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Armed Access Control Officer in a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help support security-related operations with professionalism and care.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Control access to the location by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, screening visitors, and documenting authorized access activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site procedures.
• Monitor cameras, communications, and other access control systems to help identify unauthorized activity and support timely notification of site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around designated areas, including the perimeter and key access points, as required by post instructions and location conditions.

Requirements

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A Guard Card or License is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Part-time position available.
• Weekly pay rate of $20.50 per hour.
