About the role

As an Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Windsor, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Government. This part-time role allows you to build a flexible schedule and explore new opportunities using our Claim a Shift platform. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, respond to security concerns, and provide exceptional customer service. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and the public while carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies at a government corrections location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas; report unusual conditions and potential policy violations.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorization as required, and maintain awareness of activity throughout the assigned post.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

Requirements

  • At least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Valid driver’s license (required for driving positions).
  • Armed guard card or license preferred.
  • At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Subject to background investigation, drug screen, and compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$21.50 per hour.

Schedule

  • Part-time, daytime shifts.
  • Monday: 05:45 AM – 06:00 PM
  • Sunday: 05:45 AM – 06:00 PM
