About the role
As an Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Donna, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls. You will drive and conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and clear communication while reflecting Allied Universal’s values: agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with store leadership and emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales areas, receiving and loading areas, parking lots, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
- Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately while maintaining a professional presence in a fast-paced retail environment.
Requirements
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Level III armed certification is required in Texas.
- A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
