Security Officer Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver
About the role
Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government corrections location. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures.
- Prepare accurate reports, maintain required activity logs, and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- An armed guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Qualifications
- Licenses and certifications are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
