What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a defense-related location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
- Maintain a visible presence while following post orders, using sound judgment during security-related situations, and preparing accurate reports on daily activities, incidents, and/or patrol findings.
Minimum Requirements
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Licensing Requirements
Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
