Security Officer Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorized access, and report suspicious persons, vehicles, packages, and/or conditions according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with facility personnel and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs, and maintain required qualifications for an armed post.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
