Security Officer Armed Screening Operations

About the role

As an Armed Security Officer in Screening Operations located in Virginia Beach, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Healthcare. Your role will involve creating a welcoming, secure environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and responding to security-related concerns with professionalism and care. Your visible presence and communication skills will help deter incidents while supporting patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, screening protocols, and emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals entering the healthcare location in accordance with established policies, including directing visitors, verifying access requirements, and communicating entry instructions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, using problem-solving skills, and promptly report concerns to site contacts or Allied Universal leadership.
• Monitor entrances, waiting areas, and assigned locations for unusual activity, prohibited items, or access concerns to discourage unauthorized entry.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident documentation while communicating professionally with healthcare personnel, visitors, and public responders.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in compliance with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Pay

$22.10 per hour.

Schedule

• Monday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Wednesday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Saturday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Sunday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
