About the role
As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location in Clinton, NC, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional communication and customer service. This driving position supports a critical environment while reflecting Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned government correctional facilities, buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with site-specific procedures.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
- Carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, Allied Universal policies, and site requirements, and complete accurate activity and incident reports.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Armed guard card or license is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

$21.50 / Hour
Schedule
- Monday: 06:00 AM - 04:00 PM
- Wednesday: 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
- Thursday: 06:00 AM - 04:00 PM
