Security Officer Armed Perimeter Patrol Driver

About the role

As an Armed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This driving post requires an armed guard card or license and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, controlled areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, maintaining awareness of restricted areas and reporting discrepancies according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as required.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
