Security Officer Armed Patrol Response
About the role
Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces, verifying credentials and/or permissions in accordance with post orders and location policies.
- Support law enforcement, first responders, and/or authorized representatives during emergencies, special events, evacuations, or other security-related situations requiring a visible armed presence.
Requirements
- Possess one of the following: three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or armed security releated, or a college degree.
- Possess an armed guard card and unarmed guard card.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
