Security Officer Armed Patrol Response
About the role
Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and local law enforcement when needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and movement within restricted areas, verifying credentials and following post orders related to controlled entry, contraband awareness, and/or security-related protocols.
- Support Allied Universal standards by preparing clear reports, maintaining professional presence, and following all applicable instructions for equipment use, radio communication, and/or incident response.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Armed guard card or license is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
