About the role
As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location in Bronx, NY, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the technology, media, and telecommunications location, including business areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain required armed post qualifications, carry assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws and company policies, and complete accurate incident and patrol documentation.
Requirements
- Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
- Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$46.74 - $47.74 / hour
