About the role

As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a financial institution location in Newark, NJ, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding site procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and clients at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and report irregularities or access-control concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation protocols.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation related to patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

Requirements

• Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
• Must be retired law enforcement with RPO.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$30.30 / Hour

Schedule

• Wednesday: 06:00 AM - 12:00 PM
• Friday: 03:00 PM - 08:00 PM
