About the role

As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location in Bradenton, FL, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to situations as needed, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Bring your armed guard card/license and commitment to integrity, teamwork, and a caring culture as you help support a secure environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel and/or first responders.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, maintaining a professional presence while assisting visitors with directions and general information.
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for incidents, patrols, observations, and other security-related activities.

Requirements

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Monday: 05:00 AM - 03:00 PM
  • Tuesday: 05:00 AM - 03:00 PM
  • Wednesday: 03:00 PM - 10:00 PM
  • Thursday: 03:00 PM - 10:00 PM
