Security Officer Armed Patrol Protection

About the role

As an Armed Security Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, team-oriented culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, and potential hazards.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable site procedures and reporting requirements.
• Monitor access points and support access-control procedures for authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related matters.

Requirements

• At least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• At least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$12.74 / hour

Schedule

• Full Time
• Day shift: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
