Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and sensitive areas, verify credentials where required, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Support public-facing operations by assisting visitors, employees, and/or contractors with directions, information, and response during routine and emergency-related situations.

Minimum Requirements

• An armed guard card/license is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree with 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
