As an Armed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. This is an armed and driving post, offering the opportunity to support people first through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative approach with Allied Universal.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, high-traffic areas, and restricted spaces for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or potential theft-related activity, then document and report findings.
- Complete detailed incident reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and communicate relevant observations with site contacts, store leadership, and/or Allied Universal management.
Requirements
- Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or 5+ years of armed security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour
- Position Type: Part Time
- Schedule: DayTime - Friday 03:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Saturday 02:30 PM to 11:30 PM
