Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver

About the role

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. This driving and armed post offers the opportunity to support people first while working with an agile, reliable, and innovative team that values teamwork and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with store leadership and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or potential loss prevention concerns in accordance with post orders.
• Carry authorized armed equipment while on duty and follow all applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal guidelines related to the post.

Requirements

• Must have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Qualifications

• Licenses and certifications required: Valid driver’s license, Level III Armed Certification (Texas only).
• Background investigation and drug screen required.
