About the role
As an Armed Patrol Driver in Elizabeth City, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Government. This role involves conducting routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents, responding to security-related concerns, and providing professional customer service and communication at a government corrections location.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including perimeters, access points, and parking areas, to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as required, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or access concerns according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable post orders and emergency response protocols.
- Document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Requirements
- An Armed Guard Card/License is required.
- At least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Must pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Pay
$21.50 / hour
Schedule
- Monday: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
- Tuesday: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
- Thursday: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
