About the role
As an Armed Patrol Deterrence Security Officer in San Francisco, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Government and public transportation. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors, employees, and the public with professionalism. This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule built using our Claim a Shift platform.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, transit riders, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of public transportation facilities, offices, platforms, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with established procedures, and assist with directing individuals to appropriate services or locations.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel as directed.
- Maintain a visible presence throughout assigned government transportation locations to deter unauthorized activity and support an orderly environment.
Requirements
- At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- At least one year of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Pepper spray certification is preferred.
- At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
