Security Officer Armed Patrol

About the role

As an Armed Patrol Security Officer in Kansas City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as cultural institutions. This part-time position offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security incidents, and provide exceptional customer service while representing Allied Universal’s values.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and restricted areas while maintaining a professional armed presence to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events calmly, following site procedures and coordinating with emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout galleries, public spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the perimeter, documenting observations and reporting hazards.
• Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation, communicating relevant information to site leadership and management.

Requirements

• At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Possession of an armed guard card or license is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$21.50 per hour.
