Security Officer Armed Patrol

About the role

As an Armed Patrol Security Officer in Gulfport, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Healthcare. This part-time position offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism while supporting a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and applicable laws.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain required armed post qualifications and handle issued equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policy, client procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$18.00 / Hour

Schedule

• Tuesday: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Wednesday: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Sunday: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
